Before I ever picked up a pair of drumsticks, I learned to play piano, and cello.
In fact, I've been playing piano for over 6 years. My parents stopped piano lessons in maybe 4th or 5th grade, to make room for cello lessons. I eventually got bored of classical music, and fortunately for me, my mom suggested I learn to play drums. It turned out to be the perfect instrument for me, and I instantly became a competent Rock drummer.
I had my first drum lesson in the summer of 2007, and a few months later, I performed my first concert.
It was a school production of Beatles music, called "Old School 2." The first one was classic rock in general, and Old School 3 will be all blues. I became one of the top drummers in the school, and possibly the best random jammer in the whole city. It was during my time in Old School 2 that I established myself as an accomplished rock drummer. During break time during the dress rehearsal, I refused to stop playing, and performed a 10 minute version of "Sunshine Of Your Love," by Cream, with my fellow bandmates. I also spontaneously performed songs such as: Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Man by Black Sabbath, and Dazed And Confused by Led Zeppelin. I played Iron Man, as well as other songs, with Josh during the Spaghetti Dinner Concert. Josh and I are in ASR, an after school program where students practice rock songs, and perform them in the school winter concert. It's like a smaller version of Old School.
I like rock music, cars, and fighter planes, among other things*. My favorite bands other than Spazz Atakk are Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Eagles, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Who. My favorite cars are the Corvette, the Camaro, and every other muscle car with a 400 horsepower V-8 or better. I am a die-hard liberal.
